Banh Mi!

I have written a few blog articles in the past about the bahn mi sandwich trend.  I even wrote an article about a soursop smoothie that I had at Lee's Sandwiches for dessert, after a night of dining out.  Finally I got around to trying the sandwiches at Lee's that I have heard so much about.
Lee's is a chic modern state of the art bakery and banh mi sandwich shop.  Lee's bakery is loaded with modern equipment that bakers dream about having!  In fact, Lee's bakery has had many articles written about their bakery in restaurant publications.  Lee's is a like bakery from the future!
Lee's bakery turns out some of the most consistent top quality French baguettes that I have ever seen.  I worked in a French bakery for one year and our products were very consistent.  Lee's baked products seem to go one step beyond being merely consistent.  The baked products at this modern bakery are consistent perfection!
Lee's offers pastries, croissants, pastries, baguettes and specialty French breads.  Lee's has a constant flow of customers who stop in, just for the baked products.  Many customers go to Lee's for a sandwich and a trendy coffee beverage or smoothie.  Lee's Sandwiches is also famous for their coffee creations.  I like Lee's smoothies and I almost changed my order, after hearing all the customers in front of me order Lee's coffee creations.
The sandwich menu board is loaded with a nice variety of traditional and modern banh mi sandwiches.  Banh mi sandwiches only have a couple ounces of meat on them, but the idea of a banh mi sandwich is that they should be like snack sandwiches.  It is very easy for customers to eat two or more banh mi sandwiches in one sitting.  People that make a meal out of banh mi sandwiches tend to order a variety, instead of just one flavor.  Most banh mi shops, including Lee's do offer a package deal that is like a buy five get one free, or a similar offer.
In a regular delicatessen, five sandwiches costs a lot of money.  Because banh mi sandwiches are made like snack sandwiches, banh mi cost less than half the price of a regular deli sandwich!  Banh mi are tasty affordable sandwiches.
I placed my order and waited for my number to be called over the modern computerized intercom system.  The computerized voice on the intercom was that female kind of voice that you hear in modern asian airports!  The female voice called off order numbers in English and Vietnamese.  Lee's is a good place to learn how to pronounce numbers in Vietnamese.  My order number was sixty something.  It got a little bit creepy when the computerized female voice got to the numbers sixty through sixty nine, because the Vietnamese word for sixty kind of sounds like the English word Zombie!  I kept hearing zombie something being called over the intercom.  Coincidentally, I was at the Zombie Apocalypse Store in Chinatown just moments before going to Lee's Sandwiches for lunch.
Finally my zombie number was announced over the intercom, so my fixation over the Vietnamese word for sixty came to an end!  I picked up my order for a traditional Bánh Mì Thịt NÆ°á»›ng and Green Bean Smoothie.  I sat down at my table and unwrapped the sandwich like it was a special gift.  A gift it was!
The Bánh Mì Thịt NÆ°á»›ng was one of the tastiest looking banh mi sandwiches that I have ever seen!  A grilled pork banh mi made with Lee's perfection French bread!  The grilled pork had a great flavor and it was accompanied by a dijon mustard mayonnaise sandwich spread.  Sliced fresh green jalapeno pepper gave this sandwich a spicy kick.  This was a nice banh mi sandwich and I really went into a feeding frenzy mode.  The flavor combination was great!
A green bean smoothie may sound odd to the uninitiated.  Green bean in an asian shop refers to fermented sweet green mung bean paste.  The flavor of a sweet green mung bean paste smoothie is rich and indescribably good.  It is a one of a kind item that must be tried!
Lee's Sandwiches has a cozy modern atmosphere, plenty of neon lights and great friendly service.  There are pre-packaged asian delicatessen items, candies, exotic grocery items and collectibles stocked on the shelves at Lee's.  Prices and names for the baked goods and the menu items are written in both Vietnamese and English.
Lee's Sandwiches and Baguette Factory is located at 3989 Spring Mountain Road between Valley View and Wynn, in Chinatown Las Vegas.  Lee's Sandwiches is only about a mile or two away from the Las Vegas Strip, so it is a convenient location.
I highly recommend Lee's Sandwiches and Baguette Factory for locals and visitors of Las Vegas alike!  Lee's is a "go to" spot for good French baguettes.  Lee's is also a great place to go for picking up a load of banh mi sandwiches for a party or event.  Yum!  ...  Shawna
