Anime Ramen!

Anime Ramen is a really cool place in Chinatown!  This hip ramen noodle house has a Japanese anime cartoon theme!
Anime cartoon fans and anime cosplay fans all like the Anime Ramen restaurant.  Anime fans of all ages dine at this restaurant and they definitely enjoy the atmosphere.  The restaurant dining room is decorated with all kinds of anime artwork.  Anime artwork is a classic style of cartoon art that is not easy to master and the anime pictures give the dining room a fun anime art gallery kind of feel.
A big screen television in the dining room has anime cartoons playing all day.  The surround sound system literally makes a customer feel like they are in anime land!  Anime cartons are not always on television channels at home, so anime ramen appeals to customers who crave good food and anime cartoons.
The waitstaff at Anime Ramen all dress in anime cartoon costumes.  Anime cosplay is popular worldwide, because you do not have to be a child to take part.  Cosplay is fun activity for children of ages.  Because of the anime cosplay waitstaff dress code, the service is upbeat, bright and cheery!  Not many noodle house restaurants have a fun waitstaff.  Noodle houses are notorious for being "slam the food out" impersonal busy restaurants.  Anime Ramen successfully added a new dimension to the definition of noodle house restaurant.  This noodle house is fun!
The menu at Anime Ramen is written cartoon style.  The menu is extensive and many traditional Japanese appetizers, soups, noodle entrees and main course entrees are on the menu.  There are many Anime Ramen signature creations on the menu too.
One item on the menu that will please big sumo wrestler size patrons is the Samurai Challenge.  The Samurai Challenge is a huge bowl that holds six portions of food that a customer must eat within a set time limit.  Those who successfully complete the Samurai Challenge get their picture on a wall of fame and the price of the challenge is donated to a charitable cause.  If you are very hungry and you have a big appetite, the Samurai Challenge is worth taking on!
I decided to try the traditional Tonkotsu ramen noodle entree for lunch.  Tonkotsu is sliced pork and noodles in a bone marrowfat broth.  It takes hours of very low temperature simmering to make a milky white colored bone marrowfat broth.  This kind of broth is popular in both Japanese and Korean cuisine.  The Tonkotsu was garnished with traditional items and a soft boiled marinated egg added a nice touch.
To say the least, the Tonkotsu at Anime Ramen was rich and satisfying!  The day that I visited Anime Ramen, the outdoor temperature in Las Vegas was just above freezing.  Tonkotsu is perfect for a chilly winter day!
I intended to have dessert that day, because the desserts on the menu looked good.  The dessert creations at Anime Ramen fit in with the theme of the restaurant.  The Anime Ramen desserts really had a fun and exciting look!  As it was, I became very full from the Tonkotsu, so I decided to come back at a later date for dessert.  The entree portions at Anime Ramen are large, so leaving room for dessert can be a challenge in itself.
About a week later, I did go back to Anime Ramen for dessert.  Keeping a dessert promise is easy to do!  The modern looking banana split was what I intended to have during this visit, but the Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream seemed like a better choice for the moment.  It has been a long time since I have made fried ice cream desserts and I began to crave that hot - cold sensation that fried ice cream desserts are known for.
The Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream at Anime Ramen was perfectly made!  The tempura batter was crispy, the outside of the ice cream had only began to melt and the rest of the ice cream was ice cold.  Frying ice cream is not an easy thing to do.  Just a few seconds too long in a fryer, will result in a big messy puddle of melted ice cream.  A garde manger chef has to be right on top of things, to make a good fried ice cream dessert.  The Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream was garnished with Anime Cartoon soda fountain ice cream shop style.  The desserts at Anime Ramen are like they are straight out of an anime cartoon and they will put a smile on anybody's face!
Anime Ramen is located at 4355 Spring Mountain Road between Arville and Wynn.  Anime Ramen is just a short hop away from the Las Vegas Strip, so visitors of Las Vegas who are anime cartoon and cosplay fans can easily get to this restaurant.  Chinatown is a central location in the Las Vegas valley, so the locals will find Anime Ramen easy to get to.
I highly recommend Anime Ramen for visitors of Las Vegas and locals!  Anime Ramen serves great food and this restaurant has a unique atmosphere.  Its totally anime!  Yum!  ...  Shawna
